Katy Norton is an artist using video, performance, print and digital medias to construct work that examines the connections between event/object and it’s documentation, questioning notions of authenticity.
Her current work explores the apocryphal, implied narratives and the suspension of disbelief.
Katy was born in 1980. She lives and works In Kent. She graduated from the University of The Creative Arts in 2008 with a BA (hons) In Fine Art and the Polly Stevens Award for use of the human form. She is currently studying at the UCA for a Masters Degree in Fine Art.
Katy is a co-founder and editor of Duck & Cover magazine and a writer and presenter on the Emergency Broadcast System Podcast. She also works as a mentor in secondary schools and as a graduate teaching assistant for the UCA.
